The Forest Rages On - Original Semi-Abstract Landscape Painting (12" x 24" x 0.3")

Amid global warming and the devastating fires in Europe, US, Canada, Australia and many parts of the world, this piece captures the changing landscape of forests and natural environment.

This semi-abstract forest scene was painted using a palette knife to emphasize the textures, the bold colours and the immediacy of the piece. The monochromatic charcoal coloured trees in the foreground frame the colourful chaotic centre of the piece, while the calmer water and the mirrored white sky contain the commotion. Though most of us observe these scenes from afar, from a safe vantage point, we should not ignore their severity. We need to act immediately so they do not become the next generation's permanent reality.
